There are foods to eat every day that are individual to your body, lifestyle, and what your goals are. And there are foods that are good for most people in general.
I’m not here to preach what you should eat, only to talk about what I eat every day and what works for me.
These foods mainly include:
- Meats.
- Seafood.
- Dairy.
- Some fruit or veg.
- As well as types of drinks.
And I might rotate between these foods. Also a lot of these foods I mix together or have them separately in the same meal.
Let’s talk about it.
What I eat for Breakfast everyday:
1. Bacon (with butter)
This is a new food that I added to my palette in 2023. It’s nothing I was known to eat religiously.
Now I eat more of it and it works well, especially since most of what I eat is animal-based.
2. Various types of cheese
- Jarlsberg cheese.
- Cheddar cheese.
- Dutch cheese.
- Brie.
- Camembert cheese.
- Feta cheese.
- Gouda cheese.
- Aged Goat’s cheese.
Jarlsberg cheese is from Norway and is the highest cheese for Vitamin K2, a vitamin that can only be found in animal foods or dairy.
It’s officially made in Ireland and Ohio (licensed from Norway).
Cheddar is local in the UK. I’ll have these cheeses with my breakfast. The rest on the list are on occasion.

3. Eggs
Eggs are an easy one and a common one, especially in Western countries. It’s healthy, has almost every mineral and vitamin you can get, plus proteins and fats.
You can’t go wrong with eggs and you’ll avoid deficiencies just by eating them a lot.
I eat 3-4 every day for breakfast.
4. Avocados
Sometimes I’ll eat avocados for breakfast as well, usually when I’m also having eggs (on the side of course).
Avocados are good but you can’t eat them by themselves and expect to feel stuffed, so I never eat them alone.
I usually eat the flesh after cutting, I don’t do the “mash” thing.
5. Kiwi (very rare)
I have a condition called Hidradenitis Suppurativa, so I don’t eat sugar or fruits often if at all. Too much opportunity to flare.
Kiwis are good though. I eat 2 of these with whatever else I’m having for breakfast because again, it’s too light by itself.
6. Tinned mackerel or sardines
I eat these with eggs, separately of course. Mackerel is loaded with the good, and so is sardines for different reasons.
If you eat a lot of cheese, Mackerel is the better choice since Sardine is high in calcium which cheese offers anyway.
I usually eat 2 tins at a time.
7. Seaweed
Every now and then I’ll have seaweed to get more iodine from my diet. It’s the best source you can get.
Again, to light by itself so it’s something I’ll eat alongside eggs, before or after.
8. Salmon (rarely for breakfast)
Salmon is good for any time of the day. If eaten for breakfast you can expect to be full throughout the day once you slap it with some butter, coconut oil, etc.
All the right nutrients to kick start the day as well.
9. Clams
This is something I’ve added to my food lately as of April 2023. I’ll eat a bit of it in the morning with whatever I decide to eat, or I may eat some of it in the evening.
I don’t need to in the evening because I’ll eat something with a lot of iron already like Beef on occasion, or liver, etc.
Clams are the highest iron food you can eat (bioavailable) so you can overdo it.
10. Prawns
Prawns are a good source of selenium, iodine, and even has some vitamin C believe it or not.
They’re usually in small packs so I eat them with something else. Not enough to eat singlehandedly.
What I eat for dinner everyday (with butter, sea salt, garlic powder, etc):
11. Chicken breasts
This is one of the foods I can eat without adding anything to it. It’s nice without (or with).
I throw it in the oven and let it do its thing.
12. Mackerel
Mackerel is a food I’ve eaten for over a decade. Favourite fish. One of the best sources of magnesium.
Whether it’s canned, fresh, or frozen – doesn’t matter. I eat it for dinner when I’m not having so called meat.
13. Chicken drumsticks
This is another part of the chicken I don’t mind eating. In fact, this has one of the highest Vitamin K2 sources when it comes to chicken.
I tend to eat it without adding anything to it.
14. Beef
This is a food I added to my diet in 2023 I’d say. I grew up eating this so I remembered the taste immediately.
If I buy it I have to get it in smaller quantities. The average package is 400-500g and I don’t portion control with beef so I’ll end up eating the whole thing (which is too much iron and probably zinc).
15. Liver (lamb, etc)
I grew up on this food and have always liked it. As part of my journey to better health, I’ve included it in 2023 in my meals.
It’s the highest source of vitamin A. It even makes cheese look inferior in comparison.
This goes for all types of liver.
16. Trout
A new food I’ve added to my dinners of late. It’s not often I eat this but I do have it for dinner from time to time.
Good with some butter, olive oil, coconut oil, or ghee if you swing that way.
17. Seabass
This is a fish I have access to in the UK and so I eat it more often than things like Trout (mostly because I like it better).
It’s also a good source of omega 3 like the more popular fish that are more often talked about.
18. Prawns (yes)
If I don’t eat prawns in the morning, I’ll have them for dinner instead. Probably with fish, separately.
I can never eat prawns by themselves as it’s not filling enough unless I get a massive bag of them.

19. Mussels
Mussels are some of my favourite seafood to eat. They’re crunchy, taste good with butter (more so than others I feel), and are loaded with iron.
They usually come in 300-500g packets, of which I eat it in one go and can have it by itself.
20. Basa
Not too often that I eat this fish, and there are some potential concerns depending on how the fish is treated, but it’s good otherwise.
As long as you get it from the right type of place, it’s all good. I can eat these for breakfast as well at times.
What I drink in the morning everyday
21. Lemon and ginger tea
Benefits of both lemon and ginger. Best for the morning or afternoon.
22. Peppermint tea (or peppermint with strawberry tea)
I get these from Twinings, the luxury tea brand in the UK that’s been around since the 1700s apparently.
They taste unbelievably good. And of course, have NO sugar or caffeine, etc.
23. Strawberry and raspberry tea
I get these from Marks And Spencer. No caffeine, no sugar. I have this occasionally.
What I drink in the evening everyday:
24. Camomile tea
Another Marks And Spencer product. They have the best herbal tea.
Camomile helps you sleep, so good for the evening,
25. Electrolyte powder
This is the electrolyte powder I get from Amazon (Dr Berg). It has stevia as a sweetener and uses sodium chloride and ink sea salt for the salt content.
Not to mention 1000mg of potassium, the highest of any electrolyte powder, and over 100mg of magnesium and less calcium.
Best of all, it’s a truly natural product. No BS whatsoever. Good to have after exercising, travelling, working out, sweating, or before bed (potassium helps sleep).
26. Peppermint tea (again)
If I don’t have any of the others, I’ll have peppermint tea in the evening.
It also helps you sleep, but it’s also good to have it in the mornings so you can have it throughout the day.
A note about foods I eat everyday:
- The foods mentioned are foods I eat religiously (meaning daily or close to it).
- The foods mentioned aren’t the only foods I eat, only the foods I eat habitually.
- I eat like this because of conditions like Gilbert Syndrome, Hidradenitis, Heart Disease, Digestive issues, etc. And this works for me to manage them all (some are going into remission).
- At times I may eat Sauerkraut, or kimchi, or drink Kefir, Kombucha, but this is not daily (rare for veg).
- Occasionally I may get cabbage and blend it to drink down which is something I’ve only started trying.
