Low-carb desserts from Tesco DO exist, but the question is – should you be eating them?
I’d ONLY recommend if you’re disciplined and will stick to portions.
The carbs in these desserts range from:
- 6g of carbs per 100g.
- All the way to over 20g of carbs per 100g.
Foods in this range are considered “low carb” but not necessarily keto depending on the food and the amount of carbohydrates it has.
These are also foods you should eat sparingly, not religiously, aggressively, or too often. And are best eaten if you’re in the best health (as opposed to having inflammation, etc).
The ingredients aren’t exactly the greatest after all.
The foods mentioned in this post are:
- Fruits.
- Chocolate.
- Almonds.
- Ice cream.
And things of this nature.
Let’s get started.
1. Magnum Almond Ice Cream Sticks
22g of carbs, and 19g of sugar per serving. If you stick to eating ONE of these for dessert, and no more than that, you’re good to go.
Otherwise, there’s no sense in eating i this tesco food that’s relatively low carb.
2. Grenade Oreo Protein Bars
20g of carbs, of which 1g is sugar, and 17g is sugar alcohol (per bar).
This is one of the few protein bars I’d recommend eating for those pursuing keto and those who shop with Tesco.
Just not all the time.
3. Tesco Caramel Vanilla Ice Cream
Each scoop (53g) has 16.5g of carbs, and 13.3g of sugar. This is the type of dessert you can eat without worrying or stressing IF you’re disciplined.
Which is the keypoint for this low carb Tesco list.
4. Strawberries
Strawberries typically have around 6g of sugar per 100g, and are one of the lowest sugar/carb fruits there is. Not to mention one of the healthiest.
Pair it with cream, make a healthy milkshake – there are plenty of good ideas to try.
5. Kiwi
Kiwi is another fruit that is around 6g of sugar per fruit instead of per 100g. So two fruits are 12g.
Given the fact that like Strawberry, it has fibre in it, the sugar effect will be lessened which is ideal.
Plus, it has one of the highest levels of Vitamin C and potassium of any fruit.
Perfect dessert.
6. Tesco Cornish Ice Cream 2 Litres
One scoop of this ice cream (44g) has 9g of carbs and 7g of sugar. This is the best dessert on the list.
Not including the fruits.
That means even if you went and had two scoops, you’d still be better off than other desserts.
This is a good low carb dessert choice from Tesco.
7. Mackies Traditional Luxury Dairy Ice Cream
Per 100g serving, this has 19g of carbs and 18g of sugar. Not as good as cornish ice cream for a low carb Tesco dessert, but as long as you have a scoop there’s no issue.
8. Tesco Milk Chocolate Ices
ONE of these (42g) has 10g of carbs, and 7g of sugar, making this easy to measure which is what you want when eating low carb foods in the first place.
Eating one of those won’t do you any harm assuming you’re in perfect health and have no skin issues to speak of.
9. Tesco Chocolate & Almond Ice Creams
Just one of these lolies (77g) has 21g of carbs and 17g of sugar, so it’s the type of low carb dessert you should only eat ONE of instead of more.
That’s about half the intake you should go for if pursuing a low carbohydrate diet with Tesco.
10. Blueberries
Blueberries typically have around 8g-11g of sugar per 100g, but it does also have some fibre content to buffer it.
It’s more on the sugary side compared to let’s say, strawberry, but it’s one of the healthiest low carb desserts on the menu.
11. Pulsin Plant-Based Chocolate & Fudge Keto Bar
Per bar, there are 8.6g of carbs, 1.9g of sugar, and 4.5g of sugar alcohol. This is VERY ideal.
In fact, it’s not bad at all.
This is the ideal tesco dessert if you don’t mind having a bar as a dessert (which it is) instead of what you’ve typically been brainwashed to see as dessert (like chocolate fudge cake, etc).
12. Grenade White Chocolate Cookie Protein Bars
10g of carbs, 1.5g of sugar, and 18g of sugar alcohol per bar. Again, keto bars, especially for those who live up closer to their claims are the healthiest desserts you can have from Tesco.
Even a few of these bars wouldn’t be an issue, assuming you can stomach it just fine.
13. Watermelon
Half of the pack has 10.4g of carbs/sugar, with very little fibre. If you want watermelon with more fibre to buffer the sugar, get watermelon from Tesco with the skin.
This way, it becomes an even better low carb dessert.
14. Grenade Protein Bars Lemon Cheesecake
Per bar, this Lemon Cheesecake grenade dessert has 12g of carbs, 0.9g of sugar, and 10g of sugar alcohol.
This is typical of these bars, and the taste is still as good as the real thing (without the high amounts of sugar).

In the end, if you have discipline and you’re not someone who goes off the rails, these low carb Tesco desserts can work and can be a part of your diet on occasion.
If you’re NOT at that level yet, you’re best off reading this below.
